This is one of my favorites of my digi pages.  Aidan called me today to tell me all about his latest Lego kit that he earned for "being good."  I asked him what he had to do in "being good" and he said, "Nana, I have to be polite and not fight with Ryan."  He's working to earn a "really cool" Spongebob Lego kit next!  Future engineer, maybe !?!

DIGI SCRAPPIN'!

I have been learning how to digi scrap and although I didn't think I would, I am really enjoying it.  I still love doing the traditional scrapbooking.  I like to touch the papers and flowers and work with the textures, but the versatility and challenge of digitally putting together pages is fun!  Here are two I did this week of Kari's birthday party.

BIGGEST LOSER - DAY 3

Day 3 of the Biggest Loser competition is going well!  Our team, including me, is losing weight an exercising every day! Woo! Hoo!  Keeping each other motivated is a big plus.  I watched the Biggest Loser show last night and it is amazing what these people have accomplished.  However, the message that came through loud and clear was the importance of a support system.  Our team is determined to be successful and I am sure we will.

THE BIGGEST LOSER!

It is that time of year: pre-swimsuit season - a time of assessing one's assets (with the emphasis on the first syllable). It has come to my attention that some "assets" need to go! So, I joined a biggest loser competition, which started today. I am keeping a food diary and a record of exercising. I did pretty well today and even made time to use Wii Fit for 30 minutes. The Wii trainer scolded me for not exercising in four days - such a nag! However, if she keeps me focused and embarrassed as well, then maybe I will see some results! If anyone has any good recipes that are healthy, send them my way! Also send some encouragement and/or words of advice! I'll keep you posted on my progress.

We The People Stimulus Package

I discovered this video last night and had to share it. It makes one think! I believe that we have become a very apathetic nation and rely on other people like our congressmen and women far too much. I hope and pray for the sake of my grandchildren that we recapture the passion for our country that the Greatest Generation had so that we can continue to say that we are citizens of the greatest nation in the world.

Top O' The Mornin' To Ya!

Last night we continued a tradition for St. Patty's Day. Since Jim's birthday is the day after, we have been celebrating his birthday and the holiday together!  For several years we have gone out to dinner at T.G. Friday's and then on to the Pub.  This year was no different, except my almost 80 year old mother joined us and yes, it is she who ordered the Mango Marguerita!  After a delicious dinner and lots of comments by Friday's customers and employees, (all good, of course!), we headed to the Pub!  Surprisingly, there was no one in St. Patrick's Day spirit and a number of Becky and Barry's friends failed to join us.  So, we had our own little party and then off to Dilly's. That's where the St. Patrick's Day fun was happening! A crazy DJ kept the place jammin' and Becky and I headed off to the dance floor.  Barry eventually showed his dance skills as well before we called it a night. May the luck o' the Irish be with you!

IDOL WATCHING

Is it just me, or are this year's American Idol top thirteen the best the show has ever had?  In the past, I usually liked two, four tops, of the top twelve.  However, tonight I am liking quite a few!  Love Adam! What a performer - great look!  Lil Rounds has a powerhouse voice and Danny has a super sound.  I can't help but like Scott.  I was also surprised at how well Michael Sarver did.  Disappointed in little Jasmine, though.  Kris Allen is definitely going to appeal to the females! I think Jorge has a fabulous voice, but did not like his song choice tonight.  I think Adam Lambert is my favorite overall.  I always look forward to American Idol.
There just aren't many programs I really like to watch anymore.  Jim says I am a FOX News junkie and he's right; I would rather watch FOX than some of the tiresome shows on the regular networks.  I am a fan of 24, Grey's Anatomy, and Brothers and Sisters, but those are about the only shows on the major networks that I tune into.  Another cable show I really enjoy is the Food Network.  The only problem is that it makes me hungry! On that note . . . time for a little bedtime snack!

I FINALLY DID IT!

I am now a proud member of the blogosphere! Inspired by family members and friends, I decided to join the world of blogging. Be patient with me as I learn the ropes and discipline myself to stay up-to-date! I took the plunge this weekend and bought a laptop - a MacBook. It is going to be a challenge learning all the features as I am so used to PCs. Hopefully, it won't take me too long.

Since most of you know how important family is to me, I thought I would post some pictures of my grandkids. They are each so unique. The oldest, Aidan, just turned seven. We spent last weekend in southern Maryland for his party, which was held in a marine museum - what fun! He adores Legos - the more pieces the better!
His brother, Ryan, is five and a real cutie! He has quite an imagination and gets along with everyone. Ryan is in kinderagarten and says his favorite subject is recess! He loves to play transformers and Wii, especially with Aidan. Aidan and Ryan take Tae Kwon Do lessons and can break boards!

Sasha is also five and such a Diva! She is in pre-school and loves anything princess. I love to watch her and her sister, Clara, dress up! She is also quite the little artist and spends hours creating art projects.
Clara is three and also in pre-school. She is another little Diva, but also a bit of a tomboy. She also loves being a princess and creating art. Both girls take dance lessons and are such fun to watch as they "pose."

Last, but certainly not least, is Kari, who is two. She gives Aidan and Ryan a run for their money! She is so ornery and precocious! There is never a dull moment with Kari around!

I am very blessed to have such a wonderful family! We will have one more kidlet to add to the list in May! Since we have three girls and two boys, I am betting on a boy - three and three!
Today is such a tease; it's so warm! I am definitely ready for warmer weather. It will be so nice to put away the winter gear and get ready for sandals and pedicures!
