Easter Day began with Aidan, Ryan, and Kari enjoying their Easter baskets.  When Ryan saw his Spongebob Lego set, he exclaimed, "The Easter Bunny read my mind!"  Aidan was thrilled with his Lego Agents Gold Hunt.  Legos are his obsession.  Kari loved her Barbie DVD and her other Easter goodies.
Then the entire family went to church for the Contemporary Service.  The Praise Band music was wonderful and set the tone for the day.
When we got home we discovered that the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs all through the front yard area and the kids made a mad dash to find them!  We discovered that as we were hunting eggs, a momma duck was sitting on a dozen of her own eggs under s bush beside the porch.  She didn't move as the kids were running around hunting plastic eggs, not duck eggs!  Sasha and Clara also found Easter baskets filled with books and other goodies awaiting them.
Our Easter meal was delicious!  Beef Brisket and ham, Annisa's homemade mac and cheese, salad, vegies, and for dessert, a heaping bowl of fresh strawberries, blueberries and pineapple with whipped cream and some Angel food cake on the side!
The real gift was having the entire family together for the day.  Although it can get chaotic, it is truly wonderful being together for these special moments.
